DID YOU KNOW why one of our wellness tenets is to never eat a carbohydrate alone?


Yet another study, this from The Journal of Nutrition, found that in people without diabetes, adding protein to a carbohydrate-containing meal elicits physiologically significant reductions in glucose. Adding protein also improved glucose reductions in those with type 2 diabetes.


Not only does having protein or healthy fat with carbohydrates slow down the absorption of glucose, it also brings on satiety faster.
